The Documentary Chambers is an independent documentary and editorial studio creating films, conversations and storytelling projects rooted in people, communities and real experiences.
Founded by Karen Chambers, a documentary filmmaker, journalist and senior television producer with more than 15 years’ experience across BBC journalism, documentary and factual programming, we tell stories that explore the people behind the issues shaping our world.
Our work focuses on voices and experiences that are often overlooked, misunderstood or missing from mainstream conversations. We believe thoughtful storytelling can challenge perceptions, create connection and help people see the world through different perspectives.
From documentary films and editorial projects to podcasts and creative partnerships, we work with broadcasters, organisations and communities to develop stories with integrity, care and purpose.
