Karen’s career spans long-form documentary, investigative journalism, breaking news and digital storytelling, with work produced for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky and Apple TV. Across every format, her focus has remained the same: finding the human story behind the issue. The Documentary Chambers was created to champion stories and voices that are too often overlooked, misunderstood or missing from mainstream conversations. We believe representation should be authentic, collaboration should come early, and people should be treated as partners in the storytelling process. No stereotypes. No tokenism. Just thoughtful storytelling rooted in trust, integrity and lived experience. The studio works with broadcasters, creative teams, organisations and communities to develop films, conversations and editorial projects exploring health, culture, identity, heritage and social change. Alongside her media career, Karen is a qualified nutritional therapist and naturopath, bringing an additional perspective to stories around health, wellbeing and human experience. The Documentary Chambers is a female-led, Black-owned storytelling studio based in South London, creating space for stories and storytellers too often left out of the frame. Beyond the edit Karen is fuelled by curiosity — about people, culture and the things that shape who we are.
